Peter Cameron
Peter compressed a 4-year education at the University of Hawaii - Manoa into 4 1/2 years. Who could blame him?
He's sailed all over the world and his sailing resume looks like an Atlas. Burma, Thailand, Puget Sound, Spain, Gibraltar, Germany, Chesapeake Bay, Hawaii and The B.V.I's just to name a few!
He has taught and worked with several outfits in the Bay Area, including the US Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service and the Marine Cargo Specialists for the US Army. He started teaching at CN after completing the 1986 Single-handed Transpac. That experience transformed his sailing confidence to a level to which there's very little that can happen when out with a yacht-load of students that can shake him. So he stays calm, helps to calm the students in a reassuring manner, helps them learn under duress and explains how to get out of sailing predicaments with a quiet voice and an assuring manner.
He currently owns his own single screw trawler.
