Basic Powerboat Cruising
Description
Class is taught on a 29' single screw trawler, and includes maneuvering in confined quarters and open water, crew coordination, overboard recovery, anchoring, knots, boat systems, rules of the road, VHF radio, charts, buoyage system, tides and currents. Graduates may charter a 29' single screw trawler on San Francisco Bay.
Upon completion of the course, you may attend a Bay Cruising Workshop to learn more about cruising San Francisco Bay in particular, and cruise planning and execution in general as well as pointers on how to enjoy boating most economically.
