Catamaran Class

Catamaran Class

Catamaran sailing is best described as "the same, but different". Everything about the catamaran is the same, but different. We'll teach you how to take what you already know about sailing and reshape your thinking for the catamaran. From maneuvering in close quarters to tacking and jibing, you will learn how handling the cat is a bit different from handling a mono-hull.

. US SAILING Bareboat certification or the equivalent experience is a prerequisite for this class. Also, since our Norseman 40 catamaran, Cat's Aye (click link then scroll down and click on Cat's Aye), has twin screws, experience with twin engines is helpful, though not mandatory.

After you've been certified to skipper, we invite you to charter her on your own and revel in the power of this big cat while enjoying a stellar entertainment platform. Non-sailors will love the flat ride and sailors will appreciate just how downright fast she goes. And if you plan to do any shallow water sailing, catamaran experience is perfect for you. You're next charter in Belize will be cinch!

This is a two-day class and the seating is limited to four people. Please call for the next available dates and to book your space today!
