This course prepares you to take the exams that are needed for a Coast Guard 100 Ton Masters License. It also covers all materials for the lower-level Coast Guard OUPV License (Operator of Un-inspected Passenger Vessel, or Six-Pack). Exams are included and are administered on the last day of class.

Master 100 Ton License
Course Description:
The Coast Guard Master's License is required if you wish to carry more than six (6) passengers on Coast Guard Inspected Vessels. Club Nautique's Master's course will prepare you for the additional exams that are needed for this license. Exams are included and are given on the last day of class.
Coast Guard OUPV License Requirements:
- Be at least18 years of age.
- Document 360 days* of sea time on Inland waters, counted from your 15th birthday. 90 of these days must be within the last 3 years.
- Pass written tests in the following areas: Rules of the Road, Deck General/Safety and Navigation.
- Hold a Social Security card.
- Provide three character references.
- Provide First Aid/CPR certifications, current within 12 months.
- Provide results from a medical examination, current within 12 months.
- Provide results from a DOT approved drug screening, current within 6 months.
- Provide a birth certificate.
- Provide a current photo identification card.
Coast Guard Master's License Requirements:
- Be at least 19 years of age.
- Be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- Document 360 days* of sea time on Inland waters, counted from your 15th birthday, 90 of which must be within the last 3 years.
- For a Near Coastal Endorsement: Have documented 720 days of sea time with 360 days in Near Coastal Waters. This allows operation of USCG Inspected Vessels up to 200 miles off shore.
- Hold a Social Security card.
- Provide three character references.
- Provide First Aid/CPR certifications, current within 12 months.
- Provide results from a medical examination, current within 12 months.
- Provide results from DOT approved drug screening, current within 6 months.
- Provide a birth certificate.
- Provide a current photo identification card.
The licensed tonnage will be based on 90 days service on the largest vessel with at least 45 days of that within the last 3 years.
* 1 day equals four or more hours underway in a 24-hour period.

Sailing Vessel Endorsement
Course Description:

- Current USCG licensed Masters wishing to operate an inspected sail vessel must have this endorsement added to their license.
- Sea Requirements: 180 days

Assistance Towing Endorsement
Course Description:
This course prepares the student to take the Coast Guard exam for the Commercial Assistance Towing Endorsement. It is suitable for holders of any license up to 200 GRT. The Assistance Towing 200 GRT endorsement is required for any currently licensed Master assisting a disabled vessel for a fee.
