Memorial Day Cruise to Santa Cruz & Half Moon Bay
May 26th - May 30th
Come join us as we jump start summer on Memorial Day weekend with a coastal trip down to Santa Cruz & Half Moon Bay! What a fantastic way to enjoy the California Coast! We'll be headed down "flotilla style" with a group of 10 - 20 boats from Club Nautique as well as members on their own boats and friends of Club Nautique. We did this for a quick weekend trip to Half Moon Bay in October and it was a blast! Now we're going even further and we're staying longer. Visit the Santa Cruz boardwalk and enjoy all the amazing sights along the way.
Itinerary
Allowing some room for artistic expression, the itinerary will go something like this:
Thursday May 26 -
1600 - 2000 - For those who want to get an early start, we'll get underway Thursday evening and head for Horseshoe Cove, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. We'll anchor for the night and enjoy the spectacular views of the bridge, the panorama of San Francisco and the recently restored Fort Baker complex.
Friday, May 27 -
- 0330 Weigh anchor and depart San Francisco Bay
- 0552 Sunrise
- 1640 ETA Breakwater Cove Marina, Monterey
- 1700 Cocktails aboard Eureka - bring Hors'Doeuvres to share - dinner on your own.
Saturday, May 28 -
Sailing Option - At 0900 we'll set sail for Stillwater Cove at the north end of Carmel Bay and anchor near the famous Del Monte Lodge for lunch. After lunch aboard, it's anchors aweigh for the sail back to Santa Cruz. Moor at harbor if available or anchor off boardwalk pier.
Sunday, May 29 -
- Rise early & set your course for Half Moon Bay. Join in the fun of a hybrid rally/race that tests your sailing, navigating and planning skills.
- Tie up at Pillar Point Yacht Harbor
- Dock Party!
- Dinner at Half Moon Bay Yacht Club
Monday, May 30 - Memorial Day
Cast off in time to catch the flood tide at the Golden Gate. Enjoy the ride & start making plans for one of our future cruises (see listing at the bottom left).
