Chartering in the B.V.I.'s

Presented by Rod Witel

If you’re new to chartering in unknown waters, the British Virgin Islands (a.k.a The B.V.I.’s) is the place to get your feet wet (pun intended).

Come learn how to successfully charter a boat in the warm blue waters and to the sun drenched beaches of the B.V.I’s. Rod will walk you through a sample 7 day itinerary designed to highlight the best of the B.V.I.’s while also providing for some fantastic sailing. Each island will be discussed in detail as well as B.V.I. weather, tides & currents, charts, cruising guides, provisioning, mooring and anchoring, dinghies, currency, voltage, fishing, cell phone and internet access, water & battery management and much more. A detailed list of what to bring and what not to bring will also be provided.

So put your sailing experience to work for you and learn more about taking the plunge into your very own charter vacation.

Rod is an active SF Bay sailor and racer. He has visited over 30 Caribbean islands and has numerous Caribbean bareboat charters under his belt.
