Bill is a sailor at heart even though he currently has a power boat. Except for 4 years in the Navy and 7 years living (and sailing) in Hawaii he has been hanging around the Delta since the late 1940's. He is a retired yacht broker. He currently writes a monthly column, Delta Rat Scrapbook for Bay and Delta Yachtsman Magazine. He is the executive director for the California Delta Chambers & Visitor's Bureau. He spends most of his free time visiting Delta hangouts by car and boat.
