SEATTLE – A Vessel Traffic Service workstation from VTS Puget Sound, based at Pier 36 on the Seattle waterfront, displays various means used to monitor maritime traffic including Coast Guard Vessel Traffic System, Automatic Identification System, Radar and closed-cicuit TV. VTS Puget Sound uses these technologies to monitor the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Rosario Strait, Admiralty Inlet and Puget Sound.
