Sherri Conrad began sailing as an adult after she graduated from the Cornell Law School and returned to the San Francisco bay area to begin her practice. Riding the ferry to work, it was impossible to not notice how much fun the sailors seemed to be having.

She joined Club Nautique and received her ASA and US SAILING certifications as a club member. She earned her U.S. Coast Guard Masters license in 2005 and began teaching for Club Nautique soon thereafter.

Sherri shares a boat and has sailed extensively in Santa Cruz. She has delivered boats up and down the California coast. She has raced small boats in many of the spring and winter series as well as summer beer can races sponsored by various local sailing clubs. Sherri has served on the board of directors of a bay area non-profit sailing organization. She has crossed the Pacific ocean in a 36′ Westsail and the Atlantic ocean in a 44′ Beneteau.

“Because I did not learn to sail until I was an adult, I hope I bring a unique patience and sensitivity to students of the sport. We have beautiful boats, sail on postcard perfect water and discover something new almost every time we cast off.” Sherri hopes her next passage will be to the South Pacific.
