Powerboat Cruising Conversions
These two day courses are designed for people with previous sailing experience who would like to learn powerboating.
Power Conversion 1 (PC1)
Designed to allow US Sailing Basic Cruising certification holders to learn how to operate twin screw powerboats. The class is a two day class taught on a twin outboard twin screw powerboat under <35'. The class includes maneuvering in confined quarters and open waters and is the equivalent of the US Powerboating Basic Power Cruising class. Graduates may charter any powerboat in the fleet up to 34' feet. Format

Tuition
Cost for Members: $975
Cost for Non-Members: $1,300
Certification
US Basic Power Cruising certification is optional. Certification can be achieved by anyone that passes the PC1 class and takes the Basic Power Cruising written exam within 90 days of completing PC1.

Power Conversion 2 (PC2)
Designed to allow graduates of PC1 to learn how to operate larger powerboats. The class is a two day class taught on a 37′ Jeanneau Velasco 37F. The class includes maneuvering in confined quarters and open waters and is the equivalent of the US Powerboating Inshore Power Cruising class. Graduates may charter any powerboat in the fleet up to 37′ feet.

Certification
