Join Club Nautique from February 15^th – February 25^th, 2025 on a cruise around one of the world’s most popular cruising destinations. If you’ve never been on a vacation charter trip the BVIs are known as one of the easiest destinations to start your vacation chartering adventures. The clear azure waters, rugged coastlines, and numerous islands make for stunning sailing scenery. Discover the beauty and variety of the British Virgin Islands where you’ll snorkel with colorful fish above vibrant reefs, relax on unspoiled white sand beaches, and delight in the local cuisine and vibrant waterside bars.

A Club Nautique flotilla is the perfect way to experience destination cruising in a new location by building your boating skills and making new friends with the support and advice of our experienced captains. You have the option of either joining a skippered boat captained by an experienced Club Nautique instructor or staff member, or bareboat skippering your own boat. Whichever you choose, it’ll be a trip you won’t soon forget.

Itinerary

This cruise will launch from the Sunsail base at Wickhams Cay II on Tortola. Tortola is the main island in the British Virgin Island and is where the largest and most central airport is located. You can fly into the Terrance B. Lettsome airport or you can fly into St. Thomas, USVI and take a ferry to Tortola. Once there we will provision the boats before embarking on our ten day vacation sailing around the BVI.

Norman Island

Norman Island is said to be the inspiration behind Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. Explore the coves and bays and you might even discover some long-forgotten pirate booty.

Cooper Island

On the way to Virgin Gorda, Cooper Island is a small island with a boutique hotel and restaurant that is a great spot for beach food and cocktails. It’s also next to “wreck alley” which is a popular dive site.

Virgin Gorda

Virgin Gorda is known for the famous National Baths Park which features a massive collection of large granite boulders and secret rock pools. We’ll stop in Leverick Bay and have an opportunity for entertainment, watersports, shopping, spa and dining

Anegada

The longest stretch of sailing on this trip is on the way to Anegada. Anegada is unique as it is the only island within the BVI. Once there you’ll get to experience the secluded beaches and wildlife such as flamingos, rock iguanas, and rare plant species.

Jost Van Dyke

Jost Van Dyke and Trellis Bay are a must stop on any BVI cruise. Famous as a cruising hot spot you’ll find a fabulous art scene, beach parties, restaurants, and gift shops.

Cane Garden Bay

Cane Garden Bay is located on the North Shore of Tortola. Relax on beautiful beaches, swim in the turquoise water, or snorkel around the island’s western edge.

The Boats

For this trip we have reserved both monohulls and catamarans provided by Sunsail. The monohulls are three Sunsail 46.3s while the catamarans are a Lagoon 424, Lagoon 464, and two Lagoon 454Ls. The monohulls are equipped with 3 cabins and 3 heads and the catamarans all feature 4 cabins and 4 heads. You have the option of a skippered charter led by either an experienced Club Nautique captain on a catamaran, or skipper the boat yourself.

Skippered

We provide the skipper, so all you have to do is enjoy!

$ 7,498 per double cabin in a SS Lagoon 464 catamaran

Bareboat

At least one person on the boat needs to be qualified to skipper.

Payment Schedule

You must sign up before August 19th, 2024.

35% deposit due at signing.

Balance due on November 10th, 2024. Bareboat charters forfeit 35% deposit if cancelled after August 19th, 2024. No refunds for any reason after November 10th, 2024. We recommend purchasing trip insurance!

What’s Included

10 nights in a private or shared cabin for up to two people, water, cleaning and starter packs, linens, Wi-Fi, yacht damage, VISAR contribution, BVI National Park Permit. BVI Cruising Permit Fee, welcome cocktails in the BVI, one Club Nautique flotilla burgee per boat, Club Nautique shirt, pre-trip meet and greet party and skipper if on a skippered boat.

What’s Not Included

BVI entry fee, airfare, airport transfers, hotels, meals, or alcohol unless otherwise noted. Crews will discuss provisioning based on preferences and share provisioning costs, fuel costs, and docking/mooring fees.
