Passage Making Party
January 20 @ 14:00 - 17:00
Have you been cruising our magical San Francisco Bay for awhile and thinking about expanding your horizons? Is the idea of venturing out of the Golden Gate and sailing offshore to new and exotic destinations starting to intrude into your thoughts? Maybe it’s a bucket list kind of thing, or maybe it’s a retirement promise you made to yourself. We all know people who have talked about their dreams of buying a boat and sailing to far off and fascinating destinations, with maybe Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean or even further in their thoughts. Maybe you’re just wondering if it’s even a possibility for you and want to find out a little about what it takes to reach this goal. If any of those describe you in any way, then join us for a Passage Making party and talk to some of our members that have made their dreams of voyaging come true. Hear their stories and learn more about what it means to get the Coastal and Offshore Passage Making certifications, and the horizons that open up for you as the skipper of a blue water boat.
We’ll open with our School Director, David Forbes giving an overview about how the upcoming changes in the way navigation will be taught is changing nationally and how that will impact the Passage Maker program at Club Nautique.
This will be followed by a panel discussion with instructors and current CPM students and former CPM and OPM graduates moderated by David Forbes.
Afterwards, mix and mingle with Club Nautique members either currently in the program or interested in starting their Passage Making journey along with former CPM and OPM graduates and CPM and OPM instructors.
