Standardized Guidelines For Sailing Instruction and Training

Participation in US SAILING’s Keelboat Certification System gives you access to the highest standards for sailing instruction. With certified and Coast Guard Licensed instructors we provide the most comprehensive sailing education program from Basic Keelboat to Offshore Passagemaking. Once you are US SAILING certified you have a passport to sail all over the world.

Basic Keelboat Certification Class

Designed to teach the beginning sailor the fundamentals of sailing. You'll qualify to charter boats up to 26' in restricted areas.

Basic Cruising Certification Class

This certification opens the door to an exciting new world of cruising. You will learn to sail and operate a cruising sailboat in daylight hours and in sight of land.

Bareboat Cruising Certification Class

You will gain the knowledge to successfully charter boats in destinations that were only distant dreams. Up your skills to the bareboat level.

Coastal Navigation Certification Class

A lively, visual format with excellent charts, illustrations and diagrams all working together to make navigation and piloting easy and understandable to apply.

Coastal Passage Making Certification Class

Learn passage making up and down the challenging coast of Northern California.

Celestial Navigation Certification Class
