We currently have an opening for a Senior Accountant/Finance Manager, a Base Manager in Alameda and a Front Office Associate in Alameda.

Senior Accountant/Finance Manager (Full Time)

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced senior-level accounting/finance professional who is familiar with the dynamics of a small business. The ideal candidate would be someone with impeccable attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and experience with both day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting as well as financial management reporting. Someone looking for a challenge transitioning/modernizing accounting systems and reporting. Experience with subscription or membership-based businesses is a plus.

This individual contributor role oversees all day-to-day aspects of financial management for the company across accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and cash forecasting, as well as providing reporting to the owners that provides clear visibility into the financial health of the business. The role also oversees human resources functions and manages third-party vendors that provide HR and benefits services.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
  • Month-end and year-end close processes
  • Budgeting
  • Cash management
  • Sales tax reporting
  • Payroll and benefits administration
  • Legal compliance and financial controls

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of finance and accounting experience
  • Thorough understanding of QuickBooks Online (ProAdvisor Certification strongly preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with lookups and pivot tables)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with members and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and determination

Base Manager (Alameda, Full Time)

Job Description

Our Alameda location is looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing manager with a passion for customer experience. The ideal candidate is able to see the big picture with an eye on the small details and can successfully handle the toughest customer issues all while keeping a smile on their face. This person brings a can-do attitude and pitches in to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Club (including office opening and closing). 
  • Manage, hire, and train administrative and sales staff
  • Promote member retention 
  • Resolve customer service issues
  • Monitor and promote member participation in classes, events, and charters  
  • Assist customers with signing up for charters, classes, and events
  • Assist membership sales director with selling classes and memberships
  • Work with school staff and membership sales to monitor and fill classes
  • Plan and organize member events
  • Collaborate to produce various marketing materials
  • Communicate with Fleet Service staff on boat maintenance issues
  • Provide weekly updates to General Manager
  • Track and order office supplies and pro shop inventory
  • Must work weekends and some holidays

Your qualifications:

A Club Nautique Base Manager is a proactive problem solver who brings an entrepreneurial mindset to operations and customer service. Additionally, a Base Manager has: 

  • Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills
  • A minimum of five years prior management experience
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • An appreciation for the “all hands on deck” nature of a small business

Schedule:  8:00am – 5:00pm, full-time, five days per week. Flexible schedule, but must include weekends and some holidays.

Customer Service Associate (Full Time)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promptly answer all incoming calls received, screen calls and transfers calls to the proper person or department
  • Greet members, students, and instructors at the front desk 
  • Check-in all students for classes/members for charters 
  • Prepare all materials for charters and classes
  • Prepare and share materials for all classes via email and mail 
  • Phone members to confirm charters and take payments
  • Reconcile daily business
  • Ensures all students are emailed or called with class reminders weekly
  • Book charter reservations using reservation system
  • File class paperwork upon class completion
  • Assist with event planning and event set up 
  • Assist with marketing events 
  • Restock office supplies and assist with inventory as needed
  • Assist with keeping office clean and tidy
  • Provide general clerical and administrative assistance, when needed, to the Alameda Base Manager, Membership Director and others as needed

Your qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Takes initiative and can work independently
  • Excellent filing and typing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
