We currently have an opening for a Membership Sales Director and Front Office Associate in our Sausalito Office.

Membership Sales Director (Full Time)

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Find and develop sales leads 
  • Sell classes and memberships 
  • Counsel new boaters and match them to the appropriate program for their needs 
  • Monitor and promote member participation in classes, events and charters  
  • Provide information about the Club and the School to students, members and charterers 
  • Take phone calls from new prospects and attend to walk-in customers 
  • Book boat and class reservations for customers by phone and in person 
  • Give prospects and new members in-person tours of Clubhouse and yachts  
  • Prepare and mail course materials to new students 
  • Attend boat shows and events to promote Club Nautique 
  • Work with Marketing to develop promotional materials and brochures 
  • Follow up with students to see that goals are being met 
  • Promote member retention 
  • Present class wrap-ups at the end of core classes 
  • Present Bay Cruising Workshops 
  • Maintain supportive relations with students and members throughout their training and membership 
  • Work with School and Club staff to meet customer needs 
  • Must work weekends and holidays 

Your qualifications:

A Club Nautique Membership Sales Representative is a self-motivated, educated and articulate person with high ethics and integrity, and superb oral and written communication skills. Additionally, a Membership Sales Representative has: 

  • Demonstrated customer service and relationship management skills
  • Minimum two years of sales experience 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • A love and knowledge of sailing/boating 
  • Solid computer skills and the ability to learn and use new computer processes

  • Has outstanding organizational skills
  • Has a demonstrated history of increasing sales
  • Is able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Is self-motivated

Front Office Associate (Part Time)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promptly answer all incoming calls received, screen calls and transfers calls to the proper person or department
  • Greet members, students, and instructors at the front desk 
  • Check-in all students for classes/members for charters 
  • Prepare all materials for charters and classes
  • Prepare and share materials for all classes via email and mail 
  • Phone members to confirm charters and take payments
  • Reconcile daily business
  • Email class reminders to students
  • Book charter reservations using reservation system
  • File class paperwork upon class completion
  • Assist with event planning and event set up 
  • Assist with marketing events 
  • Restock office supplies and assist with inventory as needed
  • Assist with keeping office clean and tidy
  • Provide general clerical and administrative assistance, when needed, to the Sausalito Base Manager, Membership Representative, and others as needed

Your qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Takes initiative and can work independently
  • Excellent filing and typing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

  • Has outstanding organizational skills
  • Is able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Is self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Passion for sailing and powerboating a plus, but not required
