Poke Your Nose Out the Gate and Experience Blue Water Sailing

Have you wondered what it’s like to sail on the ocean, but don’t have your Coastal Passage Making certification (or know a CPM-certified sailor)? Back by popular demand is Club Nautique’s PYNOTG, or Poke Your Nose Out The Gate.

This one-day event starts at 9:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm in Sausalito. Skippered by one of our CPM-certified instructors, you’ll leave the San Francisco Bay behind, sail under the Golden Gate bridge and out into the Pacific Ocean. The exact itinerary will vary slightly each time depending on the winds and the waves outside the Gate. And, If you are lucky, you may see all sorts of sea life. After a day sailing out on the ocean you’ll get to experience returning to San Francisco Bay under the Golden Gate Bridge.

While there is no experiential prerequisite for this trip, everyone will need to bring the following:

Harness (generally incorporated into the lifejacket)
Thigh/crotch straps for your lifejacket
Tether
Foul weather gear
Lunch
Drinking water
Seasick medication (if needed)
